No commitment. This simply helps us stay connected as CALATA develops.
We're building a new model designed to help people keep moving, adapting and participating in the lives they want to live — while exploring a new role for physical therapy practices in the communities they already serve.
It's no longer simply about adding years to life.
It's about maintaining the strength, mobility, confidence and capacity to participate in those years.
At the same time, people are looking for more than exercise. They are looking for guidance, connection and better ways to understand and work with their changing bodies.
We believe there may be an important opportunity where those needs come together.
There are people who no longer need skilled rehabilitation, yet may not feel ready or confident navigating movement, exercise and progression entirely on their own.
CALATA is being developed for this space between traditional rehabilitation and independent fitness.
CALATA is exploring an approach to movement that combines physical capacity with greater awareness of effort, breathing, tension, fatigue and the body's response.
Build strength, mobility, balance, endurance and useful everyday capacity.
Learn to notice what is happening during movement and make more appropriate adjustments.
Participate alongside other people rather than navigating the journey entirely alone.
Physical therapy practices already possess something extraordinarily difficult to build from scratch: trust, movement expertise, local relationships and a connection to healthcare.
CALATA Community is being designed as a functional-longevity system that can live inside existing practices — creating a place for people to continue moving, progressing and connecting beyond an episode of care.
The clinic provides the local relationships and community. CALATA is being built to provide the methodology, programming, training and operating system.
Rather than building hundreds of new facilities, we're exploring whether CALATA can be installed within trusted practices that already exist.
One methodology. Shared programming. Local communities. A growing network focused on helping people maintain function throughout life.
CALATA is currently being developed and prepared for real-world testing with a small number of founding practices and early supporters.
We're interested in hearing from clinic owners, potential partners, advisors and people interested in helping us explore what CALATA could become.
